Status of Alpine School District Division

   In 2003, House Bill 169 was passed and signed in Utah. Later that year, Groups were formed to petition the division of Alpine School District, Utah's fourth largest school district.
  • 24/Aug/2004 - County Commission decides not to put the Alpine School District division proposal on the ballot for November 2004.
  • 29/Jun/2004 - Ad Hoc committee presents negative recommendation to Utah County Commission.
  • 27/Apr/2004 - Financial report finished by BYU students.
  • 31/May/2004 - Input on Creation of Pioneer School District published by Co-sponsor Rep. David N. Cox
  • 19/May/2004 - Financial report revised and errors corrected.
  • 24/Dec/2003 - The committee of seven was selected to study the possible creation of the Pioneer School District in Lehi and areas west. They have until July 1, 2004 to give a report and a recommendation to the county commission.
  • 11/Dec/2003 - The Utah County Commission has accepted the petition and is forming the committee to study the issue.
  • 2/Dec/2003 - The Lehi High School area received 1208 of the 1122 certified signatures required. (15% of last election's voters).
  • 2/Dec/2003 - Orem City did not recieve enough signatures to begin the process of division for this year.
